Just bought my copy at a local B&N. It's important to me, to (whenever possible) buy my books from a brick-and-mortar store. I look forward to actually removing the shrink-wrap and reading the thing, with a proverbial worm on my tongue.

According to Nana's own words, in the chapter on Marina, she was the only living woman who declined.
For all the beautiful typography, layout, printing, and binding (not to mention that it's impeccably well-researched and well-written), I did find one glaring typo. And it's one that doesn't take a human proofreader to find; even a 1970s-vintage spell-check utility (yes, they existed) would have found it.

I don't know if she references it elsewhere, but the main quote regarding participation actually says "Marina Sirtis is one of the few people who chose not to talk to me for this book." I do note that Nana says "people" there, Marina might still be the only woman?
She notes that didn't have the opportunity to speak to Chase (which sounds like their schedules just never allowed for it?) She was unable to get in contact with Linda Park. And we don't know if she simply never bothered to approach Jennifer Lien.

Aw, that’s a shame, because I would have been very interested to learn about their perspectives on their time on Trek and what their experiences are / were as women in the business. Linda Park is pretty active on Instagram, so I wanna say there should definitely have been a path to reaching out to her. Jennifer Lien being no longer involved with acting and really, the whole Trek convention circuit and all that probably made it easy to just not talk to her. Still, I would loved to hear her talk about Trek, especially because I’m convinced there was a hefty dose of ugly misogyny involved, both with how she was written out of the show by the producers and with the way she has been treated by fans and media ever since. But then again, maybe Nana did reach out and Jennifer just didn’t want to be part of it, which would also be totally understandable, of course.
I’ve been meaning to get this book. Reactions I’ve seen here and elsewhere online lead me to think it’s a worthwhile read. One question for those who actually own a copy: Are there actual interviews in it (as in a question being asked and a full answer being given as a quote), or is it more like Nana Visitor describing how she met with actresses and talked to them?
It's kind of a mixture, but it feels like the majority is Nana* kind of describing the point of what they said.

Apologies for the self-bump but it's to bring information. Further to the "who couldn't she get for the book" discussion, Nana was on the D-Con Chamber and said this about Marina's lack of involvement:
"Marina told me that she wasn't interested in anyone making money off her back."

I just come across her book today. And in the midst of reading about her, it accidentally come across from a few different link that she was dating Nicole de Boer for a while. I am quite surprise when I read that
Gon' need a source on that, because I'm not so sure I believe it. Sounds more like the kind of weird answer you get from Ai because of it misunderstanding one episode of DS9.
Nicole was was with the same guy from before she was on DS9, and then married for a dozen years after that.
