Name That STAR TREK Episode...

The Man Trap

Both Darnell (blue shirt) and Green (gold shirt) die a redshirt death.

RAND: Where are you, Sulu?
SULU: In here feeding the weepers, Janice.
RAND: I've got your tray.
SULU: May the Great Bird of the Galaxy bless your planet.
Indeed. And the series kicks off - in broadcast order - with an episode which starts the redshirt tradition with ironically no redshirt deaths.

The Deadly Years?

Given what we see in the episode, it can only be a matter of a few days at best, for the radiation to have started to affect the unfortunate party on Gamma Hydra Four before our heroes arrive.

"Balance of Terror"

Two outposts are silenced, which implies days since the first attack, and the heroes even just miss helping a third outpost. And, we know who is on the offensive. Don't we Mister Stiles?

Clue #1 There are Tholian webs and sensor webs that have ensnared the Enterprise, but in this episode the Enterprise is threatened by something less "webby" in some ways and more "Webby" in other ways, thus proving the old adage that "there is nothing more dangerous than a Captain and his homophonic subordinate".

... Well, ... it could become an old adage someday.
