Name That STAR TREK Episode...

Assignment: Earth?
Yes.
----------------------
Clue 1: One has to wonder how the equipment was installed.
Just a basic question about how some aliens can modify the building without notice. And does all that stuff run off the local grid?

Clue 2: Shapeshift or illusion, we are never told but ultimately that wasn't the bigger mystery.
A reference to Isis, the bigger mystery being that it took half a century to ID the actress.

Clue 3: Finally, a safe way to travel.
Well, Gary Seven's transporter is a safe.

Clue 4: The aforementioned equipment has many features: One feature might prompt a more current fan to ask, "Does it do hot tea?".
Gary Seven's computer has what appears to be a replicator, which he uses to create his fake IDs.

Clue 5: That little desktop accessory certainly presages our Apple/Amazon world.
A reference to the green, Alexis-like cube.

Clue 6: A certain action sets up the events of this episode but that action happened prior to the episode and is referenced in the log. Every other episode in which that action occurs, we see the action occur and usually get an explanation on how it occurred.
They time-travel but we don't see it.

Oh, cool.

So, 1) we knew the identity of the cat way before we knew her identity.

2) She went out with Shatner even though she was engaged proving no one could refuse The Shat.

Getting back to business, how about And The Children Shall Lead?
1. Kirk is baffled as to the deaths of colony adults and the odd reactions/actions of the children.
2. The kids were under the unwanted influence of the Gorgon.

Seems like it could be "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky".

1. We don't know what happened a year later when Yonada got to its destination.
2. The Yonadans are on an asteroid and these descendants have no idea about any of it.
3. That would be McCoy (and any other man who wants a perfect woman) choosing to stay with Natira.

Sounds like maybe Tomorrow is Yesterday.

1. I still don't really get the transporter time reversal at the end. (I need to rewatch this one. Maybe this weekend.) Could also refer to the way the episode picks up in medias res with the Enterprise already in a crisis.
2. Neither Christopher nor the airman asks for their imprisonment, but they're stuck with it. And remarkably, neither evades the Enterprise's security. What a treat!
3. Chicken soup for the Air Force MP.
4. Not as sure about this one - but there are a couple of instances where Christopher is rebuked by Kirk or Spock, and then Roger Perry does a wonderful acting job making the audience feel for Christopher with some unexpected and sentimental positive response. And the character, as written, comes off as a great guy.

No quatloos for that guess Provider Henoch!

Clue # 6
A certain activity is referenced here, and as far as I know, in only one other episode.

Sounds like Mirror, Mirror?
1. The landing team is truly confused when they get back to the ship.
2. It was a transporter accident.
3. Kirk finds out that he has a Captain's woman; rank has its perks.
4. Kirk's reprieve for Chekov after ordering the agony booth for him.
5. Marlena wants to go with Kirk, but she can't because the power was only balanced for four, plus, her mirror self was already there.
6. Sex.
