1. Spock almost blows himself up with an exploding rock, gets shot with poison thorns, injected with meds that upset his stomach, gets zapped and knocked down by a force field, gets lightning bolted in the back, and attacked by villagers with clubs. Not to mention all the verbal barbs he takes from McCoy and Kirk. He's having a very rough day, indeed.
2. Val had big glowing green reptilian eyes.
3. After he learns that Hendorff is killed, Scott says, "I hear it's nice down there." and "I could do with a nice walk in a garden with green leaves and grass."

That's great! The eyes was the best clue. I forgot poor Spock has so much grief!
Anyhow, I honest to God don't have time to run one (hubby's major surgery tomorrow morning) so either you, or the first one who posts after me can take my place. Next time, if I ever win again, I'll do it properly.

I'll go. As hints before starting, if you ever read my posts I love (not in this order) Doohan, Shatner, Nimoy, memorable dialogue, the equipment and the Enterprise. Maybe that will help.

The Enemy Within? Kirk2 materializes when first Wilson then Scott conveniently leaves the room. This happens right after Kirk orders Scott not to the leave the transporter unattended, like he was expecting something important might occur next. (We have Kirk and Scotty, odd dialogue, transporter malfunction, and Enterprise. 4 out of 4 ain't bad.)
No. But that is an excellent guess. I love it when someone comes up with a good rationale for a different ep than what I'm thinking of.
