Fantastic guess, and close to a top 10 episode for me, but no. Arguably the plot development that makes me saddest in all of TOS is the unavenged, brutal murder of Yeoman Thompson. So I wouldn't offer wry clues about her. RIP.

No. Scott and Uhura and two guards go down to the planet, and security teams are seen searching the ship (with ridiculous ineffectiveness) for McCoy.

My third fave and funny, I just watched it this morning. But only one redshirt, Compton, disappears and Scotty and Uhura are in evidence, as well as the two guards posted outside Environmental Engineering and Lemli, who makes the landing party.
