I think you were so close. Cyrano Jones fits better.
1. He declares the tribble to be harmless, but as we find out this is incorrect because of their over-breeding. For his penally, he is tasked to clean up the space station.

But . . . these inaccurate guesses will take YEARS!!!!!

1. My declaration was rendered incorrect by later cleanup.
2. Ah, what I sought was concealed under THERE?
3. Clues 1 and 2 do not refer to the same scene.

4. I treat Kirk with respect when only the Starfleet officers and I are around, but sneer at him in the presence of our hosts.

Commodore Stone?
1. He declared Kirk responsible for the death of Ben Finney.
2. Finney was hiding in the lower, or under areas of Engineering.
3. Clue one was on Starbase, while Clue two was on the Enterprise.
4. ?

Kras?

1) He declares Klingons are stronger than humans, but he ends up being destroyed and thus the weaker of the two.
2) He searches under pillows etc for a knife in the tent.
3) He pretends to be tolerant of Kirk, but shows his true colours to the leader of the tribe when Kirk is not present.

Great job. Yes, it's my very favorite Klingon. This guy is absolutely awesome.

1. He declares that his vessel is a "small scout ship," but "later cleanup," i.e. TOS-R, makes him a liar. Again. And of course it makes perfect sense . Why would he give the Starfleet officers an accurate idea of the Klingons' strength?

2. That's true! I was also thinking of Maab sitting there all calmly in the Capellan version of a lawn chair enjoying the nice Vasquez Rocks weather - upon reflection I'm sure it was the Teer's seat - as Kras paces, then pulling out a full-size Klingon disruptor pistol from beneath his outfit. I didn't really think the costume was THAT roomy.

3. Self-explanatory and hinting at Kras' sly two-faced act.

4. Exactly. And actually, although he obviously wanted Kirk and Co. out of the way and didn't care if that meant them getting killed, he did seem to have a respect of sorts for Kirk in the one scene they had together when the Capellans weren't around. Another great touch that makes me love FC is that Kras, unlike the other three major Klingon leaders we see in Star Trek - the group that had Forehead Transplants and made it to DS9 - doesn't seem to know who Kirk is exactly. I liked that.

Nice job, MF. The bridge is yours!

Good choice but not quite there:

Clue # 2
Everybody, I think, was sympathetic to my situation, apart from that one individual.

Zefram Cochrane?
Ouch, they shocked the Companion and him, no real need for that, how about trying the universal translator first!!
Nancy Headford (the individual) "That's disgusting! We're not animals!" not too sympathetic!

Your guesses shall be crushed to a handful of dust!!

Clue # 3
I have a nice moment with a semi-regular; not sure how many other similar scenes take place across the series. Quite a touching scene, in its own way.

Ensign Garrovick?
1. Spock forcefully throws him out of his quarters.
2. Kirk is a dick.
3. Eat.

Well done Henoch! Although I might add my Clue # 1 was actually referring to Kirk relieving Garrovick of duty for that slight delay in firing - even Spock and McCoy thought it harsh.... I think your version is cooler though! :)

The bridge is yours Sir!
