Game Name That Star Trek CHARACTER

There is another thread which has people writing limericks as clues, so I thought I would try one for this next character.

Clue #1

A man who was active in space
Used to run at a most vital pace
But a blast from some rays
Put an end to these ways
Now he sits in a more static place

Is it one of these red shirt dudes?

No, not those guys. Hopefully they could still run after a short rest, although I can't remember for sure.

Clue #2

Clue 1 actually has 4 clues embedded in it.

Well, they aren't running, but it looks like they aren't sitting either. The word static does seem to apply to them. But, no it's not either of them. I think we can use these guys for the next clue.

Clue #3
The character in question was once caged much like Linke and Ozaba, but he was more fortunate and stayed alive.

It must be this Starfleet officer...
One flash means "yes", so you are up Spock's Barber.

The original clue has some key words. "Active" and "Vital" are words Mendez uses to describe Pike. The "rays" are "delta rays" that McCoy mentions. The word "run" was meant to throw you off a little. Of course healthy Pike could run well, and injured Pike can not, but you are more likely to think of someone else (like the force field face smackers). And the "sitting" and "static" words will be clear in hindsight. When mentioning forward and backwards, i was tempted to say "backwards slightly" but I thought that would make it too easy.

Also, the reference to "caged" was meant to trigger a thought about "The Cage" pilot episode.

Commodore Stone?

STONE: Then, Captain, I must presume you've committed willful perjury. This extract from your computer log says you jettisoned the pod before going to Red Alert. Consider yourself confined to the base. Official inquiry will determine whether a general court martial is in order.
Dramatic Music. Then Kirk is mute until the commercial break.

Good guesses, fellow Starfleet cadets, but not the mystery character.

Clue #2

Red, Blue or Gold...make up your mind.

Great guess, but it’s not Mr. Leslie.

Clue #3

Okay, Henoch, I’ll do anything to get some airtime on TOS.
Oh, this is getting personal, now...:rommie:

Nurse Chapel?
1. Chapel didn't speak after she left the sickbay room with Spock stored inside her.
2. Majel wear's gold in the Cage, and blue in the TOS series, and red in the movies? or Maybe the changing colors in the globes in which Spock was stored?
3. Chapel stood mute as Henoch monologged on the bridge.
