Game Name That Star Trek CHARACTER

No, not Trelane, nor Lazari.

Clue #2 Trelane would have needed to view planet Earth from about three times that distance to see a character of the sort we are looking for here. The name Lazarus is a bit relevant.

No, this character proved to be much more mortal than the Flintster.

Clue # 4 Uhura learned this character was concerned about a superstar, not just any common star. This had nothing to do with her musical knowledge, but was simply due to the fact that she was a good listener.

Nomad is not correct.

Clue review with clarifications.

Clue #1
He is both complex and simpleminded. He holds contrary notions simultaneously. At one point he makes blatantly contradictory statements First he says he won't do something, and then soon after says he does not mind doing it. (these contradictory statements are his lines, one right after the other, but with a cut to another scene in between)

Clue #2 Trelane would have needed to view planet Earth from about three times that distance to see a character of the sort we are looking for here. The name Lazarus is a bit relevant. (Trelane would not have seen this character, as he was not on Earth at that time in the past)

Clue #3 This character would never worship one of the Greek gods. He had another notion. (i.e. another religious belief)

Clue # 4 Uhura learned this character was concerned about a superstar, not just any common star. This had nothing to do with her musical knowledge, but was simply due to the fact that she was a good listener. (I could have said "her Broadway musical knowledge")

Coming in for the steal: Parmen.
About 2269 years less 2700 is about 430 B.C. Too early for Roman, so, Greek in the time of Plato (427-347 B.C.), etc.

Sorry Henoch for my bad math, but it is not Parmen. I should have said 2-3 times instead of 3 times. Somehow i remembered the distance as 800 light years instead of 900.

But, MarsWeeps got it with Flavius Maximus

Clue #1
He is a brutal fighter turned philosophical. He talks of killing and brotherhood at the same time. In one line he says "I will not fight" while in jail and then in the next line, while in the arena, says "I don't mind fighting".

Clue #2 The time of the gladiators was 2-3 times 900 years ago. And, the name Lazarus is a Roman-like name ending in "us"

Clue #3 He was monotheistic and would not worship Greek or Roman gods.

Clue # 4 If you remember the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar", you might catch on to Uhura learning this society was transitioning to Christianity, not star or sun-worship. She knew this because she listened to their radio broadcasts.

Your turn MarsWeeps.

Clue 4 was what led me to Flavius. Uhura being a good listener and the superstar reference. Another good one! :techman:

Now...off to think of another.

Commodore Stocker

He had no business commanding a star ship.

While true, not the one who I was looking for.

Clue 1
This character was not prepared for the situation in which he found himself.

Clue 2
This charcacter discovers that "No good deed goes unpunished."

Anan 7
1. Not prepared to deal with a real external threat. They were aware of other space nations like the Federation, but they put all their balls in one basket: a "Go Away" sign.
2. He lets them land for discussions, but then the Enterprise is faux-destroyed.

Another good guess! But...not the right one. :)

Clue 3
4 walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars, a cage....except in this case.

How about Kirk in "All Our Yesterdays".

1. Was not prepared to suddenly land in the past after hearing screams. He has no idea where he is, or what time period or how he got there and does not know the customs of the area.

2. He protects a woman in distress with good intentions but ends up hit in the head and captured.

3. Ends up in prison.

Captain Christopher Pike?
1. Not prepared for the fight on Rigel Seven.
2. Recue the SS Columbia survivors.
3. The Cage was the episode's other title.

^ Excellent guess SPB...and the correct one! I even had 2 more clues prepared!

Clue 1 was again a literal clue - "Was not prepared" by the Atavachron. Probably the last time I'll get away with those literal clues. :)
You explained the other clues well.

You're up!

EDIT: Just saw Henoch's reply...that would have also worked!! (The thought did run through my mind when I mentioned "the cage."
