Whaaaaaaat! It has the exact same score screen, the ship looks identical, there are ground based and air based enemies, and the ship uses multiple weapons, exactly like Xevious!

I feel violated by myself.

Also Alien vs Predator is correct. Gold edition, of course.

No worries. I was fooled at first as well. Then I realized it looked very similar to an import MegaDrive game that I had played years and years ago. I have never actually played the Arcade version, and the Megadrive version has a different screen layout so it took a bit to put it together.

^^ Robert is right. I was looking for Slap Fight, but Alcon is it's US name, so is also acceptable Xevious however is an entirely different game.

The console conversions of Slap Fight don't do it much justice. If you have access to the original arcade version, do remember to give it a try.

Yep, that's the one. When I had the game it was called F-16 Fighting Falcon.
One of the more complicated games to control on the Master System. It required both control pads in order to play the game. Not too bad for a 32k card based game. Too bad it was the one game that was completely incompatible with the Sega Genesis Power Base Converter.

i barely ever played it, but on one memorable occassion i executed a nosedive with a MiG-29 in pursuit, pulled up at 100 feet and the MiG... didn't...
