Isn't that true for everything though? Unless it's something famous like Sonic, if you've never played the game before you're never going to recognize it on sight.
I'll play the game a bit tonight and see if I can find a better screenshot.
Yes, the second level is a sewer. I never said this was a good game. I like it for some strange reasons, but the game is objectively speaking absolutely terrible.
Yup, "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" for the NES. There's also a tomato in the first screenshot, but it's a baby killer tomato. Hurts all the same though.
I realized it was tomatoes once I saw the leaves on the larger one.
Here is a game from about 10 years ago. I remember it being marketed as a Counter-Strike killer, and it was released with good reviews. But the game didn't have much staying power and seems to be largely forgotten.
It occurs to me that games from this genre tend to look alike, especially when you are not familiar with them. So here is the games box art to possibly help jog peoples memories.
Here is one more clue for the game: The studio that developed this game had been previously recruited by Valve to help with the original Counter-Strike beta. Their company logo can be seen in the level de_train. The company now has a different name and is owned by Rockstar.
I can see the game is even more obscure than I feared, so I'm going to post an alternate game to guess - this one probably much more recognizable (I'm actually surprised it hasn't been posted already, but it's title didn't appear when I searched the thread).
