Dang, the first game in a while that I know (and have played) and I miss out.

Well I'm glad I got that one because I threw away the last game. I was deciding between "Wing Commander" or "Privateer" because I thought they were two separate games, but I wasn't even sure if either of those were right so I didn't bother posting.

Alright, here's a game I've never played before, but I should really get around to it at some point. Who doesn't love kart racers?

I have no clue what that game is. It looks like someone stole the map textures from Super Mario Kart and threw the F-Zero vehicle sprites on top of it...

Well, just to be clear, they are separate games.. kind of like how Star Trek and Star Trek: TNG are different shows.

Also, wait, you've never played the original Wing Commander or Privateer?!?! You should remedy that

I've played Freespace 2. After that holy experience there's no point in playing anything else in the genre.

Meh. I've never been much of a PC gamer. With the exception of StarCraft, 99% of my gaming time is on consoles. I consider myself a pretty hardcore and knowledgeable console gamer, but when it comes to the PC I am pretty much a newbie.

As for the game, if no one guesses it in a couple of days I have a second screenshot ready that will help out quite a bit.

I'm not sure, but that looks kind of like Battle Cars for the SNES.

Never played the game myself, but the image of the Red Zeo Ranger gives it away. It's Power Rangers Zeo: Battle Racers.

ETA: Ah, and the character icon in the first image was a Cog. I knew it looked familiar.

I've never played the game (or seen the film), but I recently watched the AVGN's review for the game. I'll never forget that Luke Skywalker-ish sprite as long as I live.
