Martok (changeling or not) never killed his son.
Isn’t that the meaning of when he came into the briefing room and handed over his dagger? The characters seemed to believe he did.

I always thought the Klingon who backed down to Sisko was his son, was it just some random Klingon?
Yes, he's the one that wanted to search the Xosa but backed down after Sisko threatened him. We can see his face on the screen, he doesn't look at all like Martok's son.
