Name That Episode, DS9 Edition...

Given what we learn in Tears of the Prophets, Trill and Klingons couldn't begin to think of procreation without major medical intervention. It's more likely that the Yedrin host is trill-human.

It doesn't seem likely that Worf would agree to that. I believe that all people who looked part Trill, in that colony were also part Klingon and also since I can't imagine Worf cheating on Jadzia that all the ones that looked part Klingon were also part Trill.

Guess: Looking for Parmach ... Worf switching his affections from Grilka to Dax.

He wasn't married then. In some ways, Worf is a paragon of virtue. If there is something that he finds morally repugnant, then he'd rather die than do it. Not to say that his morals aren't disputable sometimes.

I don't think we have a lot to go on when it comes to attitudes about artificial insemination or infertility to say that Worf would object.

Remember that in tears of the prophets Jadzia was intent on having a baby WITH WORF, not just a baby. It was never an option.

Plus reality tends to fluctuate between episodes. Things that are said to be impossible become possible or vice versa...

And?

First, because they might not have a biological child does not necessarily mean they would choose to be childless. Most couples I know start by trying to procreate. When that doesn't work, they choose adoption. If you look at the episode, Dax and Worf were already exploring artificial insemination, albeit with their own genetic material--they were already working their way down the list of alternative methods to making a family. Even what Bashir was proposing in TOTP was merely offering the possibility of procreation, something which does not itself erase the rather bleak prediction he made earlier in the episode. Second, the need to find a host for the symbiot would probably take precedence, and I could see Worf, grudgingly, accepting artificial insemination as a means of producing an offspring that could carry Dax after Jadzia passed away, especially as their access to medicine would be restricted by their primitive condition.

Should I remind you of Jadzia's last words: "Our Baby would have been so beautiful!"?

To me that means something.

Time for another clue?

Not sure what else to guess, maybe Equilibrium? The mask thing would have been ruined if we had the TNG Trills.

You got it!

1) Jadzia could pretend that her spots were tattoos, it would have been harder to explain away a bumpy forehead.

2) The crazy man also played the tiny alien in The Corbomite Maneuver.

Your turn.

Is it Take Me Out to the Holosuite...or am I being tricked and that's too obvious?
