Mythbusters To Test Star Trek’s Gorn Cannon

Too funny! i just watched this episode about two hours ago while i was making dinner. Looking foward to seeing the real thing.

Thanks a bunch for posting this!

The big question is...will they figure out some excuse for putting Kari Byron in a red TOS miniskirt? I'd bust that.

If she's lost the pregnancy weight by then, it's a certainty.

No, the really big question is how bad Adam's Shatner impression will be.

You know he's gonna do it.

It says it's for viewers choice for next season. I don't follow this show regularly...does anybody know when next season starts?

Was the Gorn race ever shown again in Star Trek?

If not why not bring them back in XII?

There was a Gorn on the Elysian Council in the animated episode "Time Trap". It actually looked a lot better than the CGI Gorn in the ENT episode "In a Mirror, Darkly".

They don't really have very regular seasons. I suspect that this episode will air in November or December. It's also likely the "Build Team" of Kari, Grant, and Tory will do it. The only "involvment" Adam and/or Jamie will have will be in the blueprint "pitch" of the idea or the results summation.

It'll still be a fun episode to see them test even with all already know the results. I also suspect that we will get to see Kari in a miniskirt.

I just can't believe that
the word "cannon" was used properly for once.

I like the visual aid Grant used in the story meeting.

Man, I wish I had cable/satellite/what-have-you.

That sounds awesome.
Will it be on Youtube?
if it does not work will the Remastered version have to be altered?
A lot of stuff does turn up on YouTube eventually (Mythbusters has their own channel, too) and there's also Discovery's video clips page for Mythbusters.

The thing is, I canceled my cable over a year ago, mainly as a protest at having to pay for so much drek. One of the few things I've missed has been Mythbusters. (Well, maybe a few other educational channels).

Damn. Now I really miss them. I may have to resubscribe. Poor Buster Redshirt.

The chances of it working are almost nil (for one thing, you need to roll gunpowder into grains to get any sort of real power out of the reaction.) But it will be fun watching them try.

Maybe Jamie can dress up as a Gorn.
