My Star Trek includes...

My Star Trek includes a bunch of fan-fics involving an uber-ship with crystaline armor & holographic security forces taking out 10 borg cubes at once.

Well, I did start this thread.

And probably to the surprise of many I don't mind...

the first three seasons of TNG. I can quibble with things in it and how some of it was done, but it had interesting ideas. Same with the first two seasons of DS9.

My Star Trek includes Edoans, but not Triexians.

My Star trek includes Caitians, and Kzin.

My Star Trek has Starfleet Security ("red shirts"), and the UFMC (United Federation Marine Corps).

In my Star Trek only males (and alien equivilent gendered lifeforms as specified in SF Guideline 362-56/B) are addressed as "sir".

There are officers and enlisted crew in my Star Trek.

In my Star Trek, Starfleet is a military organization, even though it also has exploratory and scientific responsibilities as well.

Agreed!

My Star Trek would never get lost 70,000+ light years from home and not settle down somewhere.

My Star Trek a would never have a retarded "Caretaker" in it.

My Star Trek wouldn't have the helmsman defy the warp 10 barrier, turn into a wizard, and mate with the Captain.
Not a Voyager fan, eh?

Sorry, I.d watch Voyager but I'm not a "diehard" of it. :)

My Star Trek does not have Kzin in it.

My Star Trek has Starfleet Security ("red shirts"), and the UFMC (United Federation Marine Corps).

My Star Trek has UFPMC (United Federation of Planets Marine Corps) in it.

In my Star Trek only males (and alien equivilent gendered lifeforms as specified in SF Guideline 362-56/B) are addressed as "sir".

My Star Trek has Naval Officers addressed by rank or by "Sir", regardless of sex - UNLESS the speaker is in the UFPMC. Then, all officers are addressed by rank, or by Sir or Ma'am, as appropriate for the sex of the officer.

My Star Trek will *never* address Naval Officers above the rank of LT as "Mr.". Female Naval Officers below the rank of LCDR may be addressed as "Mr.", UNLESS the speaker is in the UFPMC where "Mr." is not used in association with Commissioned Officers.

There are officers and enlisted crew in my Star Trek.

My Star Trek has a full table of enlisted ranks and I have even figured out where to put the rank insignia!

What he said.
