My Ships of the Line image

Many of the original TOS Enterprise designs (first designated "Yorktown") were variants of what became the final version. But I've never seen any specific config like the Glenn. I'm not saying it's not out there, but if so, I'm not aware of it.

here's some orthos as requested.

I think that's one of the more interesting arrangements of stock parts that I've ever seen. :) I REALLY like the arrangement of the torpedo bays. :)

^^^ about those torpedo bays...

yeah, i like them also. but we've seen how they work internally in TWOK (casing lowered from above down into the deck launcher, etc).

with the side-mounted torp bays, how do you envision the internal workings?
maybe an automated system with null-grav lateral loading (relative to the deck)?

Well cool I've purchased the 2011 SOTL today Ive always loved them but can someone help me find if u can purchase the pics from this years one I'd loved to have septembers picture on canvas look nice in my trek shire ? Any ideas or websites ?

This was already mentioned up thread.

I'd've guessed that or a grav generator positioned to change "UP" to "sideways" -- Honestly, I think too much fuss is being made over the torpedo tubes and the like. It's a cool looking design, and I would love to feature it in one of the episodes of Potemkin!

Thanks for everyone's remarks.

Honestly, I just thought turning the torp bays 90 degrees made for a cool look and went along with my design need of "maximum firepower". Since there are at least 2 viable explanations for how the interiors would work, and neither breaks any "Trek physics" rules, I'm good with it.

Looking at your orthos I notice that the secondary hull looks
stretched out longer than a standard Constitution refit class. Is that what you were going for? Thanks for putting up the orthos by the way. one thing you might want to look into is the aft shuttle bay to me It looks a little narrow but I like the over all design concept. Great work :techman:

The secondary hull looks different because of the modified aspect configuration. But the measurements are exactly the same as the Ent-A's. I know that because I used my A mesh as the basis for it. I toyed with the idea of making it visually more similar to what we're used to, but I had to stop someplace. Deadlines, deadlines. ;)

The dual impulsse emplacements are appreciated. Here is another design possibility using that design. Have the nacelle supports stay that far forward, but sweep them back, then up--Ambassador style, and have the saucer atop a new neck up top as standard. That might be a design to play around with.

neoworx, Your piece is my favorite on the 2011 Calendar!

I've considered working up stats for the John Glenn by the old FASA rules. She sure does have some teeth!
