That connie excelsior hybrid looks great. Now I seem to remember the Excelsior hull itself having less prominant lower sensor boxes around the dome...

Science vessel type 2ndary...too big to be an Oberth, though that's the file name (used a Connie refit 2ndary for a size reference)

So, this pod has been increased in height rather than reduced in length compared to a standard Oberth-type pod? Would be interesting to see an Oberth-type primary hull with this underneath, or at least a size comparison with a standard Oberth.

I think it's both...the Oberth is significantly smaller than the Connie, IIRC.

Oh, almost forgot...new "longer" version of the hull that I think looks a LOT better.
