My parts page

I did some cleanup work on DrX's 2ndary hull...line cleaning, scale matching (had some mismatches between views), etc...I hope it meets with approval

Looks very good to me but on the sideview the torp luanchers seem a bit small when compared with the front view :)

ahh ok yeah sometimes thats hard with these part things but your doing good still :)

Did the revision look any better? I increased the size of the tubes on the profile and reworked the bow view.

How do these scale out relative to an actual Excelsior secondary hull?

I don't know...I suspect DrX intended it to be the same scale in his original, and I still have one of those...my later versions scale out smaller, but I'm not sure by how much.

Edit: Here's a link to the write up of the class of ship the hull is for. My original estimate is a bit off...it's supposed to be a "tween" ship of the Connie and Excelsior in size:

Good idea about the impulse deck cus then any design with this hull will be able to go to 0 to .75 of light speed much faster :) :techman:

Well, it isn't really an "impulse deck" as you can see (no engine), but it is an expansion to give more room that would allow a bigger Main Engineering with a larger reactor to feed power to the impulse engine in the saucer (as was done in that time frame, hence the Impulse Deflection Crystal Assembly).

Ahh ok then :)

Awesome!!! :D now all we need is the rest of Excelsior parts like the saucer and secondary hulls done up like this :)
