My current set (SilverCrest MTS2218) takes one AA cell in the mouse; I don't have to recharge for weeks -even if I 'forget' to switch off the mouse. (I use a GP Batteries 2700 series 2600 mAh NiMH cell)
You know, NiMH does run down by itself. In my experience it's charge doesn't last anywhere near as long as NiCd. You might getter better life from a lower capacity NiCd cell.![]()
True, they're a bit leaky but they still work great for ordinary household uses like remotes, bicycle lights, door bells, keyboard & mouse sets, flash lights and portable stereo equipment -in my experience anyway...
And they don't have the same problem with charging a not entirely empty cell and can (in theory anyway) be charged many more times with no loss of performance.
