My mom has passed

My most sincere condolences, ancientone51. I've also lost my grandparents recently and they too had managed to live long and fulfilling lives. In theory, that should be a source of comfort for those of us who stay behind, but it still was very difficult losing them and there isn't a day that I don't think about them.
 
It's sad, when a link like that to the, past goes.

My grandmother is 90 and was so hungry during WW2, she used to eat thistleheads.

Sorry for your loss, losing a parent cannot be an easy experience.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very hard to lose your mother no matter how old you are (I was 32).

My condolence to you and your family, ancientone. It's great that your Mom lived such a long life, but I imagine that just makes losing her all the harder. Someday you will be able to look back on the good memories and smile, I promise.
