The next episode of Dr Who is at Stonehenge...

Stonehenge is on Salisbury Plains...

I am from Salisbury - where my heart and my true home is!

Stonehenge was my playground as a child.

The next episode is MY EPISODE - woo hoo :D

I should probably clarify that when I was a child you could go right up to the stones - now you can't get anywhere near them. But we used to go up with paper and crayons and lay the paper on the stones and crayon over it :D

Or lay in the centre and watch the sky...

Happy dayz

I used to live in Wiltshire, too - near Avebury, actually - many ancient and historical sites in that county!

:D

^ah cool... It's a beautiful part of England. I'm just so, so, so excited. My family home is still there. Can't believe they were filming a stone's throw away and I didn't even know.

Just think...in 500 years archaeologists will be pondering the significance of finding empty champagne bottles with straws in them found at the site.

Nice. I've spent some time roadtripping around Wiltshire - it's a lovely part of the country.

That's pretty cool.

I'm up by Bath in West Wiltshire and it was a surprise to me a few months back when BBC Points (Bristol) West had a package on the filming.

They filmed Harry Potter not far from me aswell and that period thing with Dame Judi Dench :p

Can't say I really blame them for fencing off stonehenge though. The press of non-stop tourism would've ruined the place. Not to mention idiots who might decide to spray grafitti or chipping off a piece to take home. Or is that just in the US?

I actually own several books on standign stones with some gorgous examples scatted all over the countryside. It's always been a dream of mine to spend a week or so just exploring those places. but alas, that sort of thing requires money. :(

Is Stonehenge closed off to the public? What's that about?

Cool playground. I would have loved it!

In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history lived a strange race of people... the Druids.

No one knows who they were or what they were doing, but their legacy remains, hewn into the living rock... Of Stonehenge.

Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell. Where the banshees live and they do live well...

I remember in last of the time lords in series 3 they mentioned bexley my home town which caused me to punch the air with joy, even though it wasnt filmed in bexley and bexley had been turned into a slave camp still it was a nice mention
