music you would listen to during sex?

William Tell Overture (Theme from the Lone Ranger) by Rossini
The 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky
Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner
La Habanera from Carmen by Bizet(?)
Marriage of Figaro Overture by Mozart
The Barber of Seville by Rossini

The William Tell Overture would make me giggle -- too many potential jokes. But the others are great choices.
I couldn't do it to classical music... too many movies did a sex scene with classical music in background and i would laugh all the time.

On the other hand, I have some very good memories about Basque musician Hevia.

New Age would be another good genre to listen to. I don't know if Enya falls under the category, but I've always found her songs to be mesmerizing and refreshing (Only Time has been overused). The Orinoco Flow can be sexy in a way.

I have a CD called Pure Moods, Volume 1, and some tracks would be perfect, like Enigma's Return to Innocence and Sadeness, in particular.

The best song to accompany those who feel the need for underscoring during sex: "Mustang Sally". Rhythmic, starts off slow, and when you're ready, you just kick into double time.

For those more "energetic" folks, a good runner-up is "Rollin' on the River", the Ike & Tina Turner version. (Batsh*t crazy near the end, and then it slows down to almost nothing)

Just like Oye, Como Va by Santana

EDIT:

While we're moving into the Classic or Pop Rock territory, might I add Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye, but that's too hackneyed.

This is so terribly wrong.

I have a friend who told me his girlfriend and him make love to Celine Dion sometimes, this is almost as worrying as that.

I recommend Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" (all parts).

Most slow blues tunes (several SRV come to mind).

I was going to suggest Celine Dion but forgot to include her.

We'll staaayy forever this way
You are safe in my heart and
My heart will go on and onnnnn

Depends on the girl really. If she's some bubbly girl from the club, maybe some mainstream hits that pertain to romance. But typically it'd be r&b slowjams from the 90's. Maybe some chill lounge once in a while..

Here's a solid playlist I put on if we're by a computer..
