Have any of the music from the Trek TV series or movies, the actual original recordings been used in any Trek videogames?
I guess my question would really revolve around licensing. Were any of the songs licensed for any videogames?

IIRC teh music from the series opening of DS9 was in Harbinger, TNG's theme was in A Final Unity (and maybe Borg) and TOS's was in 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rites.

There was some really good music in the games Starfleet Academy (the intro score is fabulous) and in The Fallen.

Most of the games have had original scores, outside of the main title themese daedalus5 already mentioned. Ron Jones, who scored Star Trek: The Next Generation during the first four seasons, scored the Starfleet Academy and Starfleet Command games. Inon Zur did some interesting work on Klingon Academy and Starfleet Command II. And the Fallen, by Steven Von Kampen (hopefully got the name right) has a wonderful dark and moody score. A couple of clips are (or at least were) available on the official site, and you can find the rest once you install the game (if you have it).

There are so many wonderfully recognisable music cues used in 25th Anniversary and Judgment Rites. It's great trying to spot the episode in which they first appeared (since many were re-used in other episodes).
