It wasn't.
Well, if the actors intended it to be there... Maybe what we saw was the Vulcan equivalent of a frisson... crying at his funeral for example. It's not in the novel either mind you.

Still, if marrying teacher is good enough for Macrom, it's good enough for Saavik.

Not really
TNG takes place in the Timelines in which the Eugenics Wars took place in the 1990's and SNW takes place in the timeline in which the Eugenics wars took place in the mid 2000's. Thus even with the law of the conservation of reality(people in similar positions) they are different people
THANK you.

It was T’Pring. She and Spock reconciled after her failed marriage to Stonn, and after Spock’s resurrection and retraining on Vulcan.

Not in my estimation! Only a fool would marry T'Pring. You'd have to chemical-scan every meal with a tricorder, and sleep with one eye open. Granted, some people change in prison, but I wouldn't bet my life it.

I would also look into whether her "failed marriage to Stonn" was really "Stonn is traveling the galaxy to find himself, and I promise these vague text messages are from him, and not at all suspicious." :vulcan:

The Kelvinverse tie-in novel More Beautiful Than Death has an insane Kelvinverse T'Pring, mourning the death of Stonn when Vulcan was destroyed, plotting to put her lover's katra in Spock's body. She uses the alias "L'Nel" as Sarek's aid, in order to get close to Spock.

In the TNG episode "Sarek", Picard attended the wedding of Sarek's son as a lieutenant. Who did Spock marry (assuming it was Spock)?

Keep in mind that it need not have been a love match; it might have been a single-episode type wedding that ended in widowhood, or dissolution, or some such thing.

Hi, my first post on the Board. I have been thinking about this, having read Vulcan's Heart (which has Picard attending Spock and Saavik's bonding ceremony and not the koon-ut-kal-i-fee).

I find it unlikely that Picard would have attended Spock's koon-ut-kal-i-fee ceremony unless he was a close friend of Spock's or Saavik's, which clearly he was not.

I have always thought Picard might have attended some kind of civil ceremony of some member of Sarek's family within the context of Star Fleet, as, for example, part of some kind of honor guard for the Vulcan Ambassador and his bride (Spock and Saavik?). They might have wanted something that would signal to the Federation at large that they were married, since the koon-ut-kal-i-fee seems to be very private.

Since TOS resisted having anything permanent in terms of marriages or deaths regarding the major characters, this "wedding" might have been a ruse for something to soothe tensions between the Federation and some other groups (there's a fanfiction I read where a group of aliens insisted Sarek marry one of their women).

So perhaps the "wedding" was not a real wedding at all.

It would be fun to make up a story explaining the circumstances for such an event.

Interesting idea. An important diplomat would need guards on high alert wherever he went, particularly if there were unrest and rumors of planned attacks.
