In the TNG episode "Sarek", Picard attended the wedding of Sarek's son as a lieutenant. Who did Spock marry (assuming it was Spock)?

Keep in mind that it need not have been a love match; it might have been a single-episode type wedding that ended in widowhood, or dissolution, or some such thing.

Could always have been Sybok? "Star Trek V" premiered in June 89, "Sarek" premiered the following May.

Of course, considering how some fans didn't like the film, (it has some really good moments, but to me they only go to Kirk, Spock and McCoy), we all probably thought the intent it was Spock, although, at that time, according to the Memory Alpha entry on the episode, it was still almost taboo making direct callbacks to TOS.

Either work in my eyes. As to who Spock could have married, I'm not sure.

Sarek could have had more children with his new wife.

IIRC, there is no mention of Spock having a spouse in Reunification. Doesn't mean he didn't, though.

I thought Spock was supposed to have eventually married Saavik, but that was just in the novel-verse, right?

Definitely not Chapel, and considering nothing was really done with Saavik in STIV, not her, either. I’m glad they left it open.

I do like the idea that Spock and the Romulan Commander might have gotten together. Though that might be at odds with the idea the Romulans have been out of contact since 2311.

If it was Spock, I never felt it was Saavik and I still refuse to believe she was carrying Spock's child in Star Trek IV (ick).

Definitely not Chapel. They had no mutual connection, regardless of what SNW says decades after the fact.

But YMMV.

Think the scene with Christine in Sarek's company in TVH might probably a clue for
Spock and Chapel renewing their relationship at some later point. Maybe they've been already been married then or they did it later.

Tbh I never liked that Spock had sex with Saavik and the idea of him marrying her. She was his adoptive daughter. Don't know what the writers were smoking when they wrote the script for TSFS.

Not Chapel. If she had married Spock, she would have been on Boimler's radar. That doesn't mean they didn't rekindle some kind of unofficial relationship post TMP - she did go to the hearing with Sarek after all. While she wasn't involved in Spock's wake in STIII, that's not definitive, since Chapel's absence was more dictated by real world events.

Picard's age and rank might time stamp the wedding somewhat in that Chapel might not have been that old during this time period, maybe in her seventies or eighties? It's more likely Saavik if it's anyone we know.

With no other person of note, and nothing from Tng forward as to there identity, Its probably Saavik, but up in the air.
Christine would be over a hundred by that time, so doubt her.

Well, I don't see a career in temporal investigations in Boimler's future, regardless. He'd be kicking off swarms of butterflies.
