Most random "Hey, I recognize him/her from Star Trek!" moments

I saw David Opatoshu, who played Anan 7 in TOS, in the Chuck Norris movie "Forced Vengeance." He did a good job.

Anan 7: You mean all by yourself with a roundhouse kick, you can destroy his planet?"
Chuck: That's exactly what I mean.

An unusual Trek-actor appearance tonight on Mythbusters: As part of an Indiana Jones-based episode, actor/stuntman Anthony De Longis (Voyager's Maje Culluh) appeared in his capacity as a weapons expert to train Adam and Jamie in whip-wielding.

I saw that earlier. I thought that guy looked familiar.
I just watched the "Critics Choice Movie Awards" that I recorded from the other night.
Nice to see Sir Patrick Stewart.

In Muhammad Ali's movie "The Greatest", where he plays himself, Malachi Throne plays a scene where he's jogging next to Ali.

It doesn't quite fit the category, but I met Robert Duncan McNeill once; he was the celebrity guest at the opening of the Star Trek Federation Science touring exhibit when it was in my city, and I was one of the tour guides. The surprising thing was how incredibly tall he is. Somehow I hadn't realized that from watching him in the show.

I'm a short guy, so I have the opposite experience. I expect actors to be tall, so I'm blown away when I meet celebrities who are *short.*

Anyway, in a twist on the thread, I'm inverting this around: I CANNOT WAIT to see Alexander Siddig in Game of Thrones. Bashir's movin' on up.

Using James Doohan's 'Reggie' voice:

"I'm sorry, sir, but you'll just have to wait. It can't be helped, the season doesn't start until April."

Benedict Cumberbatch did a gag bit on Jimmy Kimmel Monday night. The camera is supposed to be someone sitting at a bar and he walks up, sits down and says "Hello, My name is so-and-so." He does about twenty different names. It was really funny. I was waiting for him to say "Hello. My name is James T Kirk." or "Hello. My name is KHAAAAAANNNNN."

My first experience watching Titus Welliver was on Voyager. But now that he's popping up more and more on both the big and small screen, I keep thinking to myself, "Hey! He was that guy on Voyager!"

P.S. Calling Torres "BLT" is one of the crappiest nicknames ever.

I just saw Scott Bakula in the gay drama series, Looking.
