"Welcome, to the desert... of the real"

"You've been living in a dreamworld, Neo."

Serenity ("There is...nothing left to see.")
Citizen Kane ("I think it would be fun to run a newspaper.")
It's a Wonderful Life ("Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.")
Shane ("You speakin' to me?" "I don't see nobody else standing there.")
Being John Malkovich ("It's my HEAD, Schwartz! It's my HEAD! I will see you in COURT!")
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension ("We don't have to be mean because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are."
I'm Not There ("It's chaos, it's clocks, it's watermelons, it's everything.")
Blade Runner ("Let me tell you about my mother!"
Planet of the Apes ('68) ("My name is Taylor!")
Men in Black ("I'm serious, Kay, you ever flashy-thing me?")
Road to Perdition ("I'm glad it's you.")
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan ("These people have sworn to live and die at my command 200 years before you were born.")
Anything by Kevin Smith ("I'm having second thoughts." "About your sexuality?")
The Silence of the Lambs ("I'm having an old friend for dinner.")
Night of the Living Dead ('68) ("They're coming to get you, Barbara! Look, there's one of them now!")
Dawn of the Dead ('78) ("When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth!")
Day of the Dead ('85) ("Choke on 'em! Choke on 'em!")
Iron Man ("Give me a scotch. I'm starving.")

Airplane! of course. The best lines have already been quoted here.

Spaceballs.

"Keep firing, Assholes!"

"That is my industrial strength hair dryer. AND I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!"

"It's Mega Maid! She's gone from suck to blow!"

"COME BACK YOU FAT BEARDED BITCH!!!!"

"That is my Virgin Alarm. It's programmed to go off before you do."

"I can't make decisions, I'm a President!"

"They've gone to plaid!"

"Dear me, what's coming out of her nose?" "Spaceballs?" "Oh, shit. There goes the planet."

And of course- "What's the matter, Colonel Sandurz? CHICKEN?"

"Airplane!".

"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue."

"Surely you can't be serious."
"I am serious... and don't call me Shirley."

"Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?"

"This woman has to be gotten to a hospital."
"A hospital? What is it?"
"It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now."

:guffaw:

"Captain, how soon till we land?"
"I can't tell."
"You can tell me, I'm a doctor."
"No, I mean I'm just not sure."
"Well, can't you take a guess?"
"...Not for another two hours."
"You can't take a guess for another two hours?"

And, of course...

"I just want to tell you both good luck. We're all counting on you."

Casablanca:

Annina: Monsieur Rick, what kind of a man is Captain Renault?
Rick: Oh, he's just like any other man, only more so.

Rick: Here's looking at you kid.

Renault: Round up the usual suspects.

Rick: ... We both know you belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.

Ilsa: When I said I would never leave you.

Rick: And you never will. But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. Now, now... Here's looking at you kid.

Rick: Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I still think CASABLANCA wins. (I can't believe I forgot the "hill of beans" speech, the "usual suspects" bit, and "Here's looking at you, kid.") But I'm surprised nobody's mentioned GONE WITH THE WIND:

"Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn."

"As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again!"

"I don't know nuthin' about birthin' babies!"

"Tomorrow is another day . . . ."

Gotta go with "Casablanca":

"Play it again, Sam."

"This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"We'll always have Paris."

"I'm shocked, shocked . . . ."

"I was misinformed."

"All the gin joints in all the world and she walks into mine."

"I stick my neck out for nobody!"

CASABLANCA is like Shakespeare. Its dialogue has been so absorbed into the language that people don't even realize they're quoting it . . ..

I agree - Casabalanca is easily the most quoted film ever. Even by people who've never even seen it before and who quote it without knowing it.

In addition to the above, there is always:

"Round up the usual suspects!"

"Here's looking at you, kid!"

"I wouldn't bring up Paris if I were you, it's poor salesmanship."

"I'm the only cause I'm interested in."

"Might as well be frank, monsieur. It would take a miracle to get you out of Casablanca, and the Germans have outlawed miracles."

"Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time."

"Realizing the importance of the case, my men are rounding up twice the usual number of suspects."

"I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!"

"I'm saying it because it's true. Inside of us, we both know you belong with Victor. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."

"But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that."

And then there is the great intro to the movie:
"With the coming of the Second World War, many eyes in imprisoned Europe turned hopefully, or desperately, toward the freedom of the Americas. Lisbon became the great embarkation point. But, not everybody could get to Lisbon directly, and so a tortuous, roundabout refugee trail sprang up - Paris to Marseilles... across the Mediterranean to Oran... then by train, or auto, or foot across the rim of Africa, to Casablanca in French Morocco. Here, the fortunate ones through money, or influence, or luck, might obtain exit visas and scurry to Lisbon; and from Lisbon, to the New World. But the others wait in Casablanca... and wait... and wait... and wait."

This movie is absolutely immortal. No two ways about it.:techman:

Another vote for The Princess Bride -

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means..."

"If she is dead, I shall be very put out."

"There's something you should know...."

"Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya! Prepare to die!"

"Mawwiage..."

"Have fun storming the castle!"

Nobody yet has mentioned Spinal Tap!

"Why not just make 10 louder?"
"... this one goes to eleven."

"There's such a fine line between sexy and sexist!"

"I'd probably feel worse if I weren't so heavily sedated."

"I told them to put us before the Puppet Show!"

"The problem is that we have a giant monument in danger of being crushed by a dwarf!"

"How much blacker could it be? None. None more black."

"They can't exactly dust for vomit."
