"SCIENTIFIC METHOD" is being tossed. Ww get to see the actual innards of the crew... in x-ray vision.

Bliss goes as it's an episode where the entire crew is saved from their weaknesses by a child.

Removed Memorial. The premise of an alien race that tried to atone for their atrocities by projecting the memories is unique.

"Virtuoso" has struck a sour note. While the episode maybe could have worked on TNG with Data (though he lacks The Doctor's ego), pretty much the entire premise of this one is non-generic.

"Nemesis" is defeated, as a story of manipulation and also a unique case where the "bad guys" look like us and the "good guys" are ugly.

"RANDOM THOUGHTS" get erased from the brain. A literal thought police... I don't think we've seen one before or since this episode.

Infinite Regress drops out. It revolves around one of the main cast having significant out-of-character experiences.

"Darkling" alights as a pastiche of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde.

You know, I wonder how this game would look on the other series.

DS9 might be the hardest one to do, given the more serialized nature of it.

I had intended to do these for each series consecutively, rather than adjacent. I purposely chose Voyager as the pilot for this challenge, as it is the series often perceived as being repetitive and unchanging. Deep Space Nine would indeed prove difficult, as there isn't really a "normal" state of affairs which can apply to the whole of the series. Perhaps it should be saved for the end, when we've truly honed our skills.

One is gone. It had the majority of the crew put out of action and the bulk of the story given solely to Seven of Nine.
(Actually, perhaps that is normal for Voyager...)

"Retrospect" as it is a thinly veiled story about rape accusations and about how you can manipulate young people into saying anything you want if you put enough time and effort into the "retrieval" of "buried memories".

Investigations was abnormal. It featured Tom Paris acting deliberately out of character. It also involved A Briefing With Neelix, which is an idea not often explored in Star Trek.

"Parallax" is out of alignment as an episode where the person who broke the nose of the current Chief Engineer gets his position while he's relegated to being her underling! (That just wasn't his day!)

I'm nuking "Dreadnought". Not every day you have a character talking to a sentient torpedo which she not only designed, but which speaks with her voice...and outwits her.

Getting rid of Elogium. Ocampa reproduction is something unique, even if mathematically it should cause extinction within 100 years.

This game is ending up with the most average, forgettable episodes. The one that I would have picked at the start is still in.

"REAL LIFE" is getting killed. Space tornadoes AND a hologram that programs a holographic family for himself. Find me another another episode that has either scenario, never mind both.

Prototype is out. Two enemy races that are both inorganic? That's not typical Trek fare. (And B'Elanna's interactions with 3947 are far from bland.) How many episodes open from the POV of a guest character?

"CATHEXIS" is now gone. I think this was the first and only time a possession story where the possessing entity was actually one of our leads trying to save the ship. Usually, the bad guys are the ones possessing the crew.

"Survival Instinct" goes extinct as the idea of three people being in each other's heads all the time is unique and quite nightmarish!!!
