Most frightening Star Trek Episode

commodore64

Vice Admiral
Admiral
I remember seeing the cheesy TOS Cat's Paw when I was a kid and it scaring the crud out of me (especially the Macbeth like witches at the beginning).

I liked Impulse from ENT -- scary, but in an interesting way.

DS9's Mirror Universe with dominatrix Kira scared me, but in a different way. (To LOL-cat it: I scared!)

The following episodes were also badly scary:
* Harbinger (ENT)
* Turnabout Intruder (TOS) - really nothing redeeming, other than embarrassing Shatner

Star Trek:
"The Corbomite Maneuver" (When I was younger).

Star Trek: The Next Generation:
"Schisms" and "Future Imperfect" (Both when I was younger) and "Frame of Mind".

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine:
"Equilibrium".

Star Trek: Voyager:
"The Thaw"

I always thought TNG's "Genesis" was their take on a Halloween episode.

I guess I'd say TATV is the most frightening episode. I can't bear to look at the screen until the last 10 seconds or so.

TNG did creepy better than the other series, I'd add to that list "Identity Crisis" for more holodeck fun.

The episode of the original series where Kirk is explaining why "We're aboard her". Worst acting job ever.

Good Choices.... :bolian:

Genesis was probably one of Trek's best horror episodes IMO. It used to scare the crap out of me when I was a little kid.

The scene where all the dead people surrounding Dr. Crusher sit up in "Night Terrors" to this day freaks me out.

That episode would get my vote.

Totally. I remember seeing that scene as a 12-year-old when it first aired, and it scared the crap out of me. Still does.

Schims is the one where those aliens are abducting and expirementing on crewmembers, right? If so that one is pretty damn freaky, even at 20 it still freaks me out.

I think the first time TNG encounters the Borg.

Definitely Schisms. That clacking noise.

Frame of mind is a good one too, but I didn't find it frigtening...just disturbing :cardie:

'Conspiracy' scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. 'Schisms' probably wins out for me now though.

When I watched ENT's "Impulse," I found it to be a fun action episode that wasn't particularly scary, but my wife, who watched it with me, was really frightened!

Well, I agree with some of the others here...but I'm really surprised Empok Nor has not been mentioned yet.

Downright creepy episode.

Another creepy one was one of those early ENT episodes where they found the crew of another ship all dead and hanging upside down.
