Most disturbing scene in star trek?

The Warp 10 Lizards from that awful voyager ep.

The borg probe stabbing Picard in the eye.

Borg assimilation in general. What a horrible fate.

The fate of the IKS Amar's crew (and its sister ships) is probably up there with Borg assimilation. What a shitty way to go.

Approximately two minutes of this over all the screen. When I saw it first time, it almost scared the shit out of me

Can I ask why? I find it fascinating :adore:

That reminds me of monkeys, though! [laugh] For some reason they don't like me very much! And I find monkeys kindda creepy and menacing the way they look....

The transporter failure in TMP. The shrieking and deformed bodies are awesomely disturbing. It seemed like an excruciatingly painful and slow death.

Yes, Odo has many uncomfortable scenes. For example, as was said in the first post in this thread, death of Mirror Odo. Or the scene, where he was arguing with Mora Pol and then melted and transformed into the monster. And decaying Odo in Broken link (and later Female Changeling with a similar disease).

The death of Trip, Data&borg queen, Seven ending with Chakotay. I'll have to think at others, those were the first that came into my mind

I'd forgotten about Odo when he had the Changeling disease. That was terrifying.

The faceless woman scared the pants off me, nothing else has come close - you see her hand feeling around the wall then you see what's wrong with her :eek::eek::eek:

It's amazing that the movie was granted a U (G for USA) rating, despite this scene.

In later releases (DVD, DE, etc) of the movie, it's clear that Commander Sonak is the person on the left. According to the novel, the person on the right who screams, was meant to be female and Kirk's lover at Starfleet HQ. I always assumed that what actually happened was they were caught in a similar scenario as depicted in "Tuvix" (but painful and fatal obviously).

It's suggested that what happened was they formed inside out, which is extremely gruesome and quite disturbing. It's a good thing they didn't rematerialise on the Enterprise, otherwise the movie would be classed as a sci-fi horror movie.

Yes, but the people on starbase had a lot to clean. I felt bad for Sonak- he seemed to me like a nice man (unlike Spock in TMP), and he had a NAME. It's quite sad the point of his death was to clear his job position for Spock. Even Dexter Remmick (that guy from TNG with his head shot off) had better death than poor Sonak. But the transporter failure was a moment of excition in the boring-as-hell Motionless picture anyway.
There was a parody in Galaxy Quest. But it was some monster, who was turned inside out (and then exploded).

There's little I find disturbing from the post-TOS series. Some things a little "wtf", but doesn't linger in your head.

Yeah, when Spock is doing that "distance" mind meld thing in "Omega Glory", it looks quite a bit creepy. Another was when he mind melds with McCoy in sickbay, in "Mirror, Mirror." The look on McCoy's face, like "what did you just do to me down there!"

The only episode I can remember really creeping me out when I was a child was seeing "The Lights of Zetar". When they find that woman on Memory Alpha, laying down in the shadows... the sounds she started making... and then the 60's color tripping morph where she suddenly stops frozen with that look on her face:

But what takes the cake is the whole possession thing at the end with Mira Romaine. It was like "The Exorcist." She even levitated in that decompression chamber. The music certainly helped with the effect of it too. Creepy!
