Most Disliked Delta Quadrant Aliens

Six of Twelve

As a spinoff from the favorite aliens thread, I thought I'd ask the opposite question. Which aliens (again, not including the Borg) native to the Delta Quadrant did you most dislike?

For me, I'd say one unlikable species were the aliens (can't remember their species name) that kept stopping Voyager to inspect it for telepaths. It seems to me that their needs could have been satisfied by requiring Voyager to simply avoid visiting any planets in their space while they had the telepaths aboard.

Kazons - as the Borg said, they were an inferior species. They reminded me of Klingons, but with none of the honor of Klingons. Just an obnoxious, useless species. They were the fleas of the Delta Quadrant

Malon - for obvious reasons, though that one episode, "Juggernaut"?, kind of "humanized" the two Malon who had to work with Voyager's crew to clean up their ship.

I like the Tak-Tak. They were very original in some way.

As for dislike, I can't remember any Delta Quadrant species that I really disliked.

Maybe the Vnori in the episode "Emanations", partly because they murdered their sick, old and disabled and partly because the episode was rather boring.

I must also admit that I find the Drayan's reverse aging in "Innocence" a bit "out of it" even if the episode was great.

The "Sky Spirits" in "Tattoo" were OK as such but those who came up with that story should never have created that connection to the American Indians.

Yes I didn't like them either. What a bunch of stuck-up jerks. I think they were called The Devore Imperium.

Although some of them turned out OK, the aliens in Tinker, Doctor, Tenor Spy. They were also in 2 other episodes. It's mostly the way the look. Which is not a very Trekian thing to say, but still....

Those aliens who wanted the Dr. to stay with them because they had never had music before. The episode was Virtuoso.

Hirogen if I were to categorize actual 'disliking' them, but I give them credit for being a presence that carried stories.

Another vote for Kazon. Weren't they supposedly going for a warring-street-gangs idea with them? I like that concept... and then every execution decision was wrong.

At least we got "Basics" from them, though. I love what a 90's cliffhanger that is. Kazon take over the ship! Strand the crew! Also there's a giant lizard monster! And some possibly hostile cavepeople! Meanwhile there's an escaped madman who might be able to save everyone! Plus Paris has some other thing! It's just so many threads, they're really throwing it all at you...

I won't say I hate them as such, but there's something about the Ocampa that's always puzzled me: they physically resemble elves, but they're the complete opposite of elves in terms of longevity. That's something I've just never understood...:cardie:

My least liked were the Kazon and Vidian.
Agreed. The Kazon looked like weak versions of Klingons, with bonsai hair styles. Even chunks of bark adorned their heads. Meanwhile, they had some ships that were absolutely enormous, compared to Voyager. Made no sense to me given their technological struggles.
The Vidians were just disgusting. And their organ extraction techniques highly flawed. Not believable either... as species-to-species bacterial compatibility would be fraught with too many issues.

The Kazon... inferior in so many ways. So glad they got away from them. It just took too long. And trying to remember all the sects was a chore...

Ogla
Nistrim
Oglamar
Pommar
Mostral
Hobii
Relora
Halik

Am I missing any?

I did not like the B'Omar they were a little too jerky. The hierarchy aliens would be embarrassing to explain to anyone who already wasn't a Trek fan and that's about it for me.
