Sisko seemed like a guest star? Or Bashir?I am talking about the character that seemed to be just a guest star at the start (or when they started) but developed into a good character during the whole series or end.
This is a hard one. Please explain why you selected that character.

This is a very weird poll. If it's supposed to be about recurring characters/people billed as guest stars, why are Sisko and Bashir there? If it's supposed to be about all characters, where is Kira, Odo, Quark...?
All right then... in that case, I can agree with your choices, since I think Kira was a great character from the start (even though she had great development in the sense that she changed and grew as a person), as were Odo, Quark, O'Brien... Sisko and Bashir did take time to develop. Your OP was confusing since you said it's about characters were first thought would be just guest stars.Sisko seemed like a guest star? I am trying to pick out characters who had the best developments through the series.
Odo, Quark, O'Brian, Worf all strong characters at the start in my view. I suppose you could put Kira in that poll as her development did get better during the whole series.
Yeah, I think Nog probably wins. From the stereotypical Ferengi teenager that was arrested for robbery in the pilot to the scarred veteran in the finale, it was quite a journey for him but believable all the way.porphyra said:I have to go with Nog as well. In terms of character development, if you watch a season 1 and season 7 episode featuring Nog back to back, its hard to believe that it is the same person, yet the transformation is believable.

This doesn't make sense. How can you hate S7 when that was the season that gave Damar the most development?I went for Damar. Garak was strong all the way through but I selected Damar as it seemed he just a nobody next to Dukat and he was the one who made him flip (not Sisko, I hate season 7) and the way he turned against the Dominion after having a break down and helping the Resistance.
LOL what?! Being a writer is being "an idiot"? Where did you get the idea that journalism is obsolete since the 21st century? I see nothing to indicate this, and it makes no sense at all. If anything, journalism should be a lot more popular. And there should be a lot more people doing things like writing, journalism, all kinds of arts, because they're not pressured to do tedious administrative and manual jobs to put food on the table.Nog turned from an idiot into a mature person with a professional career.
Jake started out smart, but slowly turned into an idiot, working in a field (journalism) which has been obsolete since the 21st Century.
There's no indication of Jake's work being useless on the show.Jake started out smart, but slowly turned into an idiot, working in a field (journalism) which has been obsolete since the 21st Century.
