Would a writen-in vote for J. M. Colt be recorded? She was both a main cast member (in the original pilot) and technically appeared in two episodes ("The Menagerie Parts 1 & 2").
I was very tempted to include "the women" (as Spock put it) from the original pilot though decided against it. Maybe the next time one of these polls come up they'll be included :)

TOS Uhura. No question. I never found Chapel above average and Rand's hair was just too bizarre. She also did not last long.

There is nothing wrong With Zoe Saladin, but Nichelle Nichols on Trek is the clear winner.

Definitely Uhura.

And especially in the first season when she had the cute bangs. I wasn't too fond of the later hairstyles they gave her.

I don't really have a vote here. Somehow, none of the female leads of TOS did much for me. Which is odd, since I grew up watching the show, so you'd think it would've shaped my standards of attractiveness. Maybe the timing was wrong. There were certainly plenty of guest stars I found stunning, but the regulars didn't appeal to me much.

Angela (communications) appeared three times, I think, but she wasn't terribly significant.

Although it's ambiguous whether Barbara Baldavin's character in "Turnabout Intruder" was actually Angela. She was credited that way, but called Lisa in the episode. Also, she was only communications in TI; she was a phaser tech in "Balance of Terror" and in life sciences in "Shore Leave." (Baldavin was also in deleted scenes filmed for "Space Seed.")

I know what you mean. Truth be told, Emma Peel and Catwoman (Julie Newmar, of course) made a much bigger impression on me back in the day! :)

I'm not sure about back in the day, but Newmar's Catwoman and Yvonne Craig's Batgirl have a disproportionate impact on me today.

The first TV characters I remember being excited by as I entered adolescence were Athena (Maren Jensen) from Battlestar Galactica and Wilma (Erin Grey) from Buck Rogers.

From this list, Uhura...

But I would write in Number One (No, I don't think voting for Christine would count...).

Nichelle Nichols' Uhura is the real foxy babe of TOS. And probably led to me dating women of color.

In my case, throw in Angelique (Lara Parker) on the original DARK SHADOWS.

I think my first actress crush was Joi Lansing, who had a physique rivaling Jayne Mansfield's. Joi posed as "Superman's Wife" in Adventures of Superman.

I have that series on DVD and I love that episode! Joi Lansing is HOT!

I'm still going with Rand.

I'm in the same boat.

I appreciate TOS Uhura now as an adult, in the past she was meh to me. She's pretty amazing looking though, great actor and really shines when she is given actual real scenes.
