Morgan Woodward as.....

I thought Morgan Woodward was fantastic as Van Gelder in DOTM and just as good as Ron Tracy in OG. I missed him being a guest star during the 3rd season. What role would you have liked to seen him play in one of the 3rd season episodes?

I guess it's a little obvious, but I would have loved to see him in "Spectre of the Gun."

I'm guessing that he didn't make a lot of living friends.

Although it was common practice in the 60's, I disagree with the concept of bringing the same actors back to play different characters, especially actors as notable and noticeable as Morgan Woodward. Somehow that tends to fly in the face of continuity for me.

Just my personal preference, mind you... I'm certain there are those here that disagree... and that's fine.

So how did Vaughn Armstrong playing like 13 or 14 different characters strike you?

Ahhh, maybe that's why he wasn't called back in season 3. He may have been busy filming 'Cool Hand Luke'. Uh, I guess not. 'Cool Hand Luke' was shot in 1967.

He was a famous attorney and a friend of Fred Freiberger. I just thought he was good as practicing law, but horrible in delivering lines.
