More Trek Dubstep

i was watching TNG and ran out of episodes before i have season 2 in my que so i decided to make some beats.

i listen to a lot of dubstep so i'll offer some criticism

a nice idea, but i think you need an instrument that sounds more epic and less cheap for the trek sample
the drums are way to quiet and unremarkable anyway
the bass is too standardized (it's either got to wobble or sound stoned, dubby - and definitely you need to use a mastering plugin to pimp them a bit more)
the drop is pretty weak and doesn't have a great buildup or a surprise moment in it

maybe you should have played around with it for another 2 hours ...

all IMHO, of course, subscribed in any case to see how your sound develops

yeah, i need to learn. i only spent 2 hours, maybe ill spend a weekend on it to perfect it. its pretty week, ill fix and update. cheers!

I've never heard of "dubstep" before now. After listening to a couple of them, my hunch is that TOS is the best sampling source. Try Spock's Theme. And of course the Fight Theme is an obvious idea.
