I have vivid memories of McLean Stevenson trying to pose down with Lou Ferrigno. It was funny because it was sad.

My most vivid memory is seeing Billy Crystal, then a supporting actor on Soap, running the obstacle course. He slammed larynx-first into a taut rope and got hurt.

When he showed up for the next one, his interview went something like, "My one goal here is to stay healthy." But he showed up.

For what he's doing and consequently the getup he has to wear, I don't see anything objectionable at all, unless staring into this computer for as much as I do each day has compromised my vision even more than I think!!!!

Anyway, I don't believe I'll require the drastic measures some of you are suggesting are now warranted. I anticipate that I won't even be mindful of the vision tomorrow, so no mind scrubbing for me thanks!!!!

I remember that as well. Most of them took it so seriously. I thought Howard Cosell really played it up and even though he got on my nerves often, whether it be with Monday Night Football, Ali interviews, etc., I never could turn away - kind of like the Kramer painting in Seinfeld.

And can you believe for those of us around in the 70s that we wore shorts like that. Good lord, what were we thinking? But I do miss my flair jeans with all the patches of peace symbols and such.

I remember Robert Conrad kicked butt on that show. When they stuck a mike in his face and asked him why he thought he was winning, he said "I'm a Kraut, I naturally wanna kill everybody."
