I really envy you MadMan1701A. There's something almost 'magical' in picking up your favorite starship model and observing it from all the angles. I really need the Beyond Enterprise and the Enterprise-A! I hope Diamond Select/Playmates, Eaglemoss and Revell are listening.

As far as official models, I know that Eaglemoss is doing the Franklin and Enterprise, and Mobius Models is doing some kits next year.

Last I heard, it was a re-issue of the 2009 and Into Darkness version, and a new model of the Beyond version. I don't think anyone is doing the A yet.

I probably will in a few months though.

The reason Beyond is performing badly is because only Trekkies are seeing it, and the general public, not so much. However, only pretty hardcore Trekkies will be building Mobeious' models anyway, and not general public modelers. The box office shouldn't have too much of an effect since Trek fans like Beyond, and they're the ones building the kit anyway.

Hey guys, I'm still here. It's just been a crazy few weeks around here!

Got my first USS Vengeance printed out today, and it's pretty impressive. 19" long, 10" wide! Needs quite a bit of cleanup still, though.

Lets see, I also finished up a Sulaco model, it's about a foot long:

And, I've been tweaking one of my Maduniverse ships into a Daedalus type configuration for a friend. It'll be about 12-14 inches long, when it's printed out.

More stuff soon, I'll try not to be away as long next time.

It's it is really fun to be able to see your 3D designs for real, and it's changed the way I think about designing a lot of things, too.

You can get a Davinci Pro for about $600 now... that's a pretty good printer from the accounts I've heard.

Oh I'd absolutely use it for all sorts of things. Miniatures for our regular D&D games would probably be one of the first things LOL I mean sure you can buy them, but your own custom one built specifically to be your character? Totally awesome.

$600 is still a bit pricey for me at the moment. Just blew $900 plus on my new PC. Time to start pinching more pennies.

Incredible model of an incredible ship! It just screams battleship right away!

Well, I said it wouldn't be so long this time, but I got distracted again. I've been working with a developer on an Android game, called Stellar Trek, to re-design all the ships and graphics.

But, I did get some model work done! Working on getting the Vengeance put together, filled and primed:

And, finally getting the beyond Enterprise together...
