Well, hey guys. Sorry I dropped out there for a while, but March was not my month. I ended up in the ICU for 3 days with Diabetic Ketoacidosis which was a ton of fun. I've had type 2 diabetes for years now, and have had trouble with just about every medication that I've been prescribed. After this event, they decided to go ahead and just put me on insulin shots and call it a day. So far, my numbers and energy levels have been greatly improved! 2 days after I got home, my wife's grandma took a turn for the worse, and passed away. Being our last grandparent, that hit us really hard. Things are all starting to return to normal, and I'm looking forward to making models again! Been kind of on a 3 week involuntary break. -Ricky
Thank you for the update. Hope you get to feeling better, and sorry to hear about your wife's grandma. I recently lost my last grandparent, and that takes time. So, take time
Hey Bro! Stay strong! Me, and as I am sure, everyone else's thoughts are with you and yours. If you need, I am always around.
Was messing around some last night, and figured I would stick textures on my Discovery model. Not accurate, but it looks like it does in my head. Thinking of a few images to make... this one was just a quick one when I got done. Also, I started working on then new Jupiter 2. More on that soon! Have fun guys, -Ricky
Been goofing off again. I decided I needed a new extra wide background for my PC at work, and had the idea that I could put all my Constitution style ships on it, flying over my hometown. Pensacola and Milton are visible just under the Discovery Enterprise there in the middle. The only think I don't like about it, is that the Disco-Enterprise and the Beyond Refit are definitely lower detail than the other ones, since they are just textures on top of my 3D prints. Gonna probably play with it some more. Have fun guys! -Ricky
Thanks man. I forgot to post these from the other night as well... I finally finished the Babylon 5 ships that were commissioned, and printed my first Klingon Warbird test print. I think both turned out pretty good. I took some liberties with the shadow ship, but it didn't look like much with just a black paint job. Back later. -Ricky
Oh SNAP! B5!!! Love seeing those! Huge fan of the designs of B5 bro...awesome work! The klink is not too shabby too.. lol
Thanks guys! I have an Excalibur model in progress... hopefully I will have some shots of it soon. -Ricky
