Multi-tasking, as always. I've got almost all of the printable parts for the Endor Landing Platform ready to go. Just some more greeblies to make for the bottom of the platform.

I'm planning on using a corrugated plastic sign for the top platform part.

It never occurred to me until now, but that would make a great coffee table. For that, you'd want to make it out of some material other than plastic filament, but the shape in general... looking forward to seeing how this design turns out!

Is the desk screwed down to the wood-grain pad? Otherwise it seems like it would be prone to tipping over.

Aiming for 18'' long when printed and assembled. I've got the proportions pretty close I think... the new pylons are definitely growing on me!

I want to be able to display this alongside my other 18" Enterprise, when it's finished.

Cool, I'll be doing that today! I've been researching SLA printers for about 6 months now... they have a lot of benefits over what I've been doing, but some drawbacks with the material and material cost are keeping me from getting one yet.

Are you going for the Beyond E or the Beyond-A?

Both, eventually! I want to have a set of 3 by convention time in February, of my Prime Enterprise, Beyond Enterprise, and Beyond Enterprise A.

Off topic again tonight.

85% finished with the Endor Imperial landing platform! All that's left to do is the weathering and final clear sealing coat to be sprayed on.

It appears I didn't have quite the right shuttle to land here.

Been busy the last few days! Finished the Endor platform, and got it delivered to it's new home.

Also, I got my Beyond Enterprise model ready to chop up today.

I ended up re-building almost the entire model... the old one just had too high of a polygon count, and was getting hard to work it. I went ahead and enlarged a lot of the details, so that they would come out better on the print.

I'm scaling it to 18", which is about 1:1600 scale (assuming Enterprise is 725 meters long). The 18" size is mainly so I can display it with my 1:650 Prime Enterprise when they are both complete.

They are, but I want to make sure they show up clean on the prints. They'll look smaller once I get layers of primer and paint on it. They'll look smaller than the ones on this model:
