More 3D Printing

No plans yet, but I did see the movie today. Every vehicle in that movie was awesome! 
I was a little disappointed they didn't have any large ships, just the planes, though. Some floating battleships would have been cool!
Calling this one done! I did 2 more coats of gold paint, and used just a little bit of liquid wax then buffed it with a cloth, even. I think it looks pretty good, even if I couldn't get the surface as smooth as I wanted. If I sanded any more, I wold have lost the grid detail that I managed to get on there.
More later, still working on the 1/650 Prime Enterprise model

Finished up tonight, France bound.
The Replicator bug looks pretty good sprayed with Rustoleum Chrome. The models are not... quite the same scale.

I'm sure any of teh SG teams that has encountered one of them has had nightmares about them getting that large.

Tonight, got the 1:650 "Prime Alternative" Enterprise modeled and ready to print tonight. Things are starting to get serious, with the pins and tabs and sockets and things.
I did get the top of one saucer printed. Came in at a little over 7" wide. I'm making 2 at the same time right now.
The CTC Printer is leaving little holes sometimes, which I'm trying to figure out. In the meantime, I'll just fill them in with white filler.
More tomorrow, hope to have at least one of these all printed by the end of weekend!

1:650 Prime Enterprise update! Last night, I finished up printing on 2 kits, each containing 38 separate parts. One kit will be heading out to Texas in a few weeks, but I'm building up the other one to make sure everything fits like I wanted.
On the inside, you can clearly see where I had to remove support material, and had to add a little filler to a couple of thin spots.
So far, got the Saucer put together.
More tonight.

Still plugging away on this one. My son was helping me tonight, and we got the rest of the parts on the saucer, and the secondary hull put together. The nacelles will hopefully go together tomorrow night!
Needs quite a bit of sanding, and some seam filling before I can start priming it. I think it's coming along really good, though!
