Coming along. :D

EPIC! I love how she's coming out. Is the two-tone aspects to the ship different materials? Meaning some parts are (or at least appear to be) paler than others.

Yep, I used both printers to print this one, and one printer had White ABS loaded, and the other had Natural loaded. It's pretty nice to print out multiple parts simultaneous, now. :)

Got a Warp Core "Supreme" lamp done. :) This one has stickers, markings, and was finished and painted a little better than my previous ones. I think it came out pretty good.

Also, not sure if I shared this one or not! A client wanted a 10" diameter version of the Endor Shield Transmitter, for their model railroad backdrop. This one was tough, but I think it came out pretty good.

I'll try to get a picture of the whole backdrop soon, I also made some heads for a Star Wars version of Mount Rushmore. :)

More stuff soon, I'm wore out. :D

On topic again tonight. :)

This Refit is going to be my largest starship so far, coming out at 20'' long. The saucer alone is 9'' wide. It's just taped together at this point, but I should be assembling it this week. It's a little rough, but it'll look a lot better once it gets a few coats of primer on it.

Hey guys, still working on stuff. :) In the meantime, I've been playing with some 3D scanning.

I got an XBox 360 Kinect Sensor, which I'm using to scan people, and I've borrowed a Makerbot Digitizer 3D scanner for smaller objects.

Here are a few images from the Kinect:

My Brother:

His looks a little better, because I had turned up the scan quality.

Makerbot Digitizer: On these, the object to be scanned has to be a matte white / grey surface. These were two ceramic statues we had around the house, and they came out pretty good. From here, I can import them into Sculptris to smooth them out.

So, the cool thing here, is that I can literally scan an object, and print it right out. Pretty cool so far!
