He shirked his duty a few times though and that made me question the way he responded to Data when the latter was in a similar situation. For once it seemed like Picard thought that he deserved some sort of privilege. Something he doesn't do usually.

These shows have been a part of my life since I was a child so I wouldn't even know where to begin with this. There are just too many moments. The one that I just watched though, Picard, in "All Good Things".... "I should've done this a long time ago"... instant waterfall.

Sorry but if we are going for the end of star ships, the auto-destruct sequence in TSFS tops the end of the Ent-D

Note that in both cases a bunch of Klingons bit the big one!!!

By about a million times, yes.

The destruction of the Enterprise D was exciting, and one of my favorite sequences in all the Trek films...but it didn't have the pure emotional punch of the destruction of the ship in TSFS.

In that movie, when Kirk learns that his son is dead, it tops anything else!

For being a somewhat mediocre movie...Generations has some pretty good dramatic stuff.

Kirk's last words Veridian III are emotional, as was his first "death" aboard the Enterprise-B
Picard's agony of the death of his family is intense
Picard's Nexus experience is even pretty good...

Oh, I totally agree. TSFS has that one-two gut punch of David's death and the Enterprise's destruction. Great stuff.

I never got the emotion at that. I think it's because when I first saw it, I was too young to realise it was actually meant to be the same ship (with the refit and all).

I can't say I get emotional in Generations either, but it had more impact on me as the same Enterprise D that had been around for seven series.

I quite liked Generations and loved the scenes with Picard in the Nexus! Experiencing a new family in a reality where duty, dedication and honour were not so important and enjoying things around a family was so much better! :)

There are so many moments- but only in "Voyager"- I`m mostly a Voyagerfan
The end of Nemesis- Chakotay says:""I wish it were as easy to stop hating as it was to start."
The end of 37`er- Janeway and Chakotay enter the transporterroom and nobody is there.
Chakotay is crying about Janeway in "Coda"
The Angry Warrior speech from "Resolutions"

I just mentioned it in the Voyager Forum: Shattered had a scene were Tuvok from another timeframe was dying. He said good-bye to Janeway before he perished. :vulcan: :wah: Once a Vulcan said: Don't grieve, Admiral...... :vulcan:

There are too many to choose from.

    Sad ones--
    Spock's death
    David Marcus's death
The destruction of the Enterprise 1701
    Lal's death
    Kirk being killed
    The destruction of the Enterprise-D
    The death of Jadzia
    And Data's death

And then some happy ones for me--
    Spock's resurrection
    The reveal of the Enterprise-A
The Enterprise-D returning to Starbase 74 at the end of "11001001" (for some reason, I always love that one).
In "The Way of The Warrior" Worf appearing and the appearing at the end, but in his new uniform.

I watched ENT: "Demons" and "Terra Prime" last night, and the final scene of Trip and T'Pol in her quarters after the death of their daughter, had me in floods. Nearly as much as Trip himself!
As others have mentioned, the death of Lal gets me every time I watch TNG: "The Offspring", too.

As a counterpoint to those scenes, "Stealing the Enterprise" from ST:III TSFS always gives me a rush of edge-of-the-seat anticipatory joy!

Data and his emotion chip in Generations. I found him kind of annoying.

For me, it's after, when Sisko is aboard the other ship escaping, and there's the battle of Wolf 359 going on outside the window, and he sees his old ship, the one Jennifer's body is on, destroyed.

That's one for sure. You know she's dead, but there's no body to bury, no way to say goodbye and grieve properly. No wonder it ate him up for so long.
