Model Kit Building

I'm wondering if there are model kits for stuff that is not vehicles or spaceships / aircraft. I know you can get figures, anatomical models of people and animals, but are there other things? I've seen a youtube of a laptop model kit which was a promo item IBM did for some people who deal with them before they sold off to Lenovo, so just trying to spitball and see if anyone here knows of other things one can build from kits.

Ah found it

I can get that much for an unbuilt B??

If the right sucker comes along, perhaps. Is it an open box? lol

Thanks for asking, though. I went to check my math and yes, it was a huge brain fart. The receipt says the item was only $65 + shipping.

That got me thinking about why I thought I paid so much, I checked receipts for a few other "collectible" items I spent stimulus money on and none of them were approaching that number. My conclusion: Brain inflation. lol

These days anything may be possible. You have mentioned and shown pics here of things I never knew were available as kits.

True, but the Thnkpad I think was more a promotional item from IBM then a commercial kit. I scoured the net for something similar to that when the video originally came out and it seems it was a promotional item given to selected people.

There's literally a snap-together model kit of a container of noodles:

Go look around at Hobby Link Japan (HLJ dot com) and you'll see model kits of just about everything. Planes, vehicles, figures, spaceships, machine tools, robots, monsters, food, cartoon animals, weapons, furniture...

OMG Japan I should have known........ I will hop over there and have a look. They are a funny bunch I love them.

I couldn't find kits of machine tools but did find a playstation 1 and Sega Saturn

The playstattion and Sega Saturn arrived. Model kits of consoles what a thing? This will be fun.

I finished the Playstation though the stickers didn't peel properly so they got a bit mangled but the console looks nice, very nice, painted the chips on the motherboard but it seems kind of pointless since that will be hidden and never seen, just like the real console I guess "shrug"

Cool. They are models of video game consoles? Got links in images?

Not of mine because I fucked up the stickers but here's a couple I snagged off the internet.

playstation1.jpg segasaturn.jpg

I also snagged these two...

and

I saw that and added it to my wishlist for another purchase later, I like unusual stuff like this.

Whatever that is, I cannot view it without being a member and I don't want to be so please... And paper models aren't model kit building.

I beg your pardon :)

A long while back I made a huge model of the Titanic from a 3D puzzle that was sort of a rigid foam pieces and it looked fantastic.
