So this happened...
Hope you get a kick out of it.
You may remember I have spoken about building this station a few times before. It is far from perfected, I took many lazy shortcuts in the actual building and it shows. But I am happy enough given the time I invested.
Really takes me back to the 90's and building the original. I actually found one of the old pylons from the original. I will add it and a story, to a future upload.
This was one of the last models I finished, last night in fact, but soon I will be posting other ships I built during the lock-down and in spare time since in build order.

EDIT 2:
The underside, and a pylon from the *original model.
Yes, highly visible flaws, (some came that way) and visible screw heads holding it together but this was an experiment in making it possible to disassemble and reassemble as desired and I achieved that. This model can be stored in it's original box. Besides, I can always revisit this one and make improvements.
*Now here is the tale two colors. The original is the color as instructed by the sheet included in the original kit, (bought at a convention, btw) but for this build the instruction sheet said this color. So what the heck? Well I was able to go online and find some shots of the original shooting model, this is the color.
So I assume the original color, (which in the show, the station does appear to be) must have been a lighting effect!
Edit 3
The dowels which hold the outer ring together. Here shown with the segments pulled apart slightly to show them.
And finally, closing out this DS9 post is the model stowed perfectly in the box it came in.
Thanks for visiting! Please continue below for more model building action.
