MOAR PICS

I guess it's true what they say about French women. You can't trick them into giving you money by setting up a blindingly obvious and stupid "trap" on a message board. *shrugs* Oh well, worth a shot.

What they say about the French in general is always true ;)

On topic : me bored

The great freeze seemed to be easing a little today, so I spent the entire day on foot while going about various chores. My photography skills leave a lot to be desired, but it was my first day with anything above the camera in my phone.

On the way to my favourite tea shop:

The cute little tea shop itself. The light was very poor for a little while, and so this one didn't come out as sharp as I would have liked:

A moment of sunshine on my way home through Covent Garden:

A panorama of my local cinema area... and of course, the weather chose that moment to become overcast:

Window shopping in Regent Street:

Hotel and Church on North Regent Street:

Took a stroll on Marylebone High Street on the way home to pick up some groceries for dinner:

And only noticed this tempting little chocolate shop on that street for the first time today - looks very particular:

Twice the bus, half the ads. They plaster the entire bus, including windows, with ads over here.
It's getting like that over here, on some buses. BTW - modern double deckers? They look smart enough on the outside, but the seats are smaller, more plasticy and afford much less legroom than the older buses. Grrr.

Rant end.

:D

Nice pics, WIHH. :)

Thank you, Flukie!

Double Decker Busses! How British.

They've tried to introduce disability friendly, extra-long, single deckers, but they haven't really taken off. Like the one here on the left:

Twice the bus, half the ads. They plaster the entire bus, including windows, with ads over here.

And here I thought we already had more than enough as it is!

I used to work near Marylebone High Street - I never saw that shop either! Mind you, this was... *counts on fingers* ... seven years ago!

I do like a shop that has their web-site written on the shop sign, I shall be investigating.

Some more pic's from vaca.

Here are a couple more from our drunken day on St. Thomas at our favorite bar.

The gang:

Damn, looks like I stopped magically following in your vacation footsteps after Alaska. I went to Maine for the weekend and got rained out.

Lucky fellow.

Did you enjoy being there? Must have been nice! I really like the atmosphere of the place, lots of little one-off shops.

You made me want to look, and so I did. An impressive collection they have! I wouldn't mind trying a bite of this: http://rococochocolates.com/favourites/dark-chocolate-coffee-and-cardamom-wafers.html
