Well, I'm a Mets fan and native New Yorker. Who did live in New England or close to it for 33 years.

Go Sox! I hate to say it, but that shit at the end of marathon, got me on the Boston Strong wagon.

See you next year folks! Though I may jump in for any non-World Series topics, my interest in the playoffs will now going from fledgling to zero.

For the next week and a half I consider myself a Cardinals fan!

(actually I always had a lot of respect for them anyway. I'm definitely glad they won the NLCS. And at least they don't all look like Charlie Daniels, which will definitely help during the WS.)

This should be a great WS.

I'm an AL East guy first, then an AL guy.

So while I won't lose any sleep if the Sox lose, I'll be routing for my AL.

World Series, baby!

Should be a great matchup, and it's nice that it actually worked out this year and the top two teams in baseball managed to make it to the end. Should be a strong series...

Congrats Red Sox fan!!

Like I said, I'll be rooting for them :techman:

Meh... as much as I don't like the Yankees-lite, guess I'll have to pull for the Red Sox on this one. I just don't want the more vocal members of my family from St. Louis to be rubbing yet another WS win in my nose.

Not to mention I had tickets if the Dodgers had gone... how inconsiderate of the Cardinals to deny me those!

:guffaw::techman:

Ugh... a team I hate vs. a team I couldn't care less about. Since I'm a National League guy, I'll root for the Cards, but it really won't affect me either way.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, I've heard the term is occasionally used outside of the baseball world. ;)

I have only ever cheered for the Red Sox once in my life. That was when I first got into baseball, back in '07. I was pissed at the Indians for beating the Yankees in the ALDS and I felt that I couldn't turn around and, in the ALCS, root FOR a team that I had just been rooting against.

I didn't realize the true extent of the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry back then (I hardly knew there WAS one, in fact). I won't make the same mistake twice. ;)

(Note that even though I hate the Red Sox, I like Boston itself very much and I love Fenway Park.)

I harbor no ill will to a franchise that is in someway responsible for our 29 WORLD Championships
