And now he's going to the Mets for a slightly shorter, smaller deal of 12 years and $315 million.

Trevor Bauer reinstated after suspension cut to 194 games. The Dodgers have 14 days to decide whether they'll reinstate him onto their 40-man roster. His original contract has him signed through 2023 with $32 million owed for next season.

The Braves sign Sean Murphy to a 7 / 63 deal.

Seriously, Anthopoulos is a wizard. The entire Braves core lineup is signed through 2026 - 2028, for below-market money.

Ten umpires are retiring, the most since 1999. The lineup: Ted Barrett, Greg Gibson, Tom Hallion, Sam Holbrook, Jerry Meals, Jim Reynolds, Bill Welke, Marty Foster, Paul Nauert and Tim Timmons.

Per The Athletic, the Mets and Carlos Correa still remain far apart in their disagreement over his medicals. The Mets are reportedly pushing for large provisions pertaining to playing time / time spent on the injured list, while Correa's camp is holding firm on a fully guaranteed deal. There's still a large possibility that the two sides walk away, and reportedly multiple teams--including the Twins--are ready to swoop in if Correa is willing to accept a shorter deal with a higher annual average value.

If the Giants and Mets are gonna keep squabbling over Carlos Correa...why don't they share him?

One takes North Correa, the other South Correa
