Depends on how badly things are going?
The Brewers are nowhere near as bad as, say, the Colorado Rockies. Have the Braves held a team meeting this season? Seems like they probably need one, even though they've been playing better recently.

The Rockies are this year's White Sox. They went 5-25 in April, one loss short of the Orioles record of 26. Barely ahead of them with 7 wins, the White Sox are also this year's White Sox.
Detroit's Riley Greene became the first player to homer twice in the 9th inning in a 9-1 win over the Angels.
Goddamn, the Angels were decent for about 2 weeks, then reverted to form.

Can you blame them? How many more times are the fans supposed to believe that "Next year's gonna be our year" line of shit before it's time to bring out the pitchforks and go after Bob Nutting? That Pittsburgh attendance is like a UFL game.

I love that he gave the ball to the fans he fell into.Did anyone see that catch Arenado made?
To be fair, Nutting has only owned the team since 2007, so the Pirates' doldrums between 1993 and 2006 aren't on him. But he's had plenty of time to turn it around if he really gave a rat's ass.Fool me 30 times, shame on you. Fool me 31 times, shame on me.![]()
This isn't a major league ball club. it's a family fun destination, a theme park. Ownership views Kennywood as its competition, not MLB teams.
If the black and gold-colored baseball team that happens to be playing at the theme part is good, that's cool. That'll draw local baseball fans along with the casuals and local families who come out for bobble heads and fireworks.
But if they're not good, them not being good isn't more important than how long guests have to wait in line for a beer and a hot dog. It's certainly not important enough to spend the kind of money necessary to possibly make them good.
As Travis Williams* said, you can overcome a bad outcome on the field with a good outcome in the ballpark, but you can't overcome a bad outcome in the ballpark with a good outcome on the field.
Once you understand what this organization actually is, and accept it, everything they do (and don't do) falls into place.
You can get fooled again?Fool me 30 times, shame on you. Fool me 31 times, shame on me.![]()
