Cancer? you mean Puig? LoL..he was an awesome teammate with the Reds, people want him back when he goes FA.
I'd like to see Puig back in a Reds uniform... if the price is right. Definitely wouldn't break the bank for him.

Just as a point of clarification, the game isn't actually going to be played at the Field of Dreams, but at a temporary 8,000-seat stadium that will be constructed adjacent to the field itself.
In Darvish's last eight games, he has averaged just over 6 IP a start, with a 0.78 WHIP and a 2.77 ERA. 63 strikeouts to 2 walks.
The Cubs are 3-5 in those games.
Guess which 3 of those games were at home?
Also, the Cubs have gone 0-10-2 in their last dozen road series.
Edit: Put another way, the Cubs are on a 111 - 51 pace at home and a 62 - 100 pace on the road. The mind, it boggles.
No way!Pedro Martinez claims the ball is more tightly wound and a little smaller, explaining the HR surge.
He says his fingers didn't touch before.
Story
When Mike Ford climbed on the mound Thursday night, almost everyone at Yankee Stadium was laughing. Luis Severino had to cover his face with the front of his hoodie from getting caught on the TV cameras cracking up with the rest of the Yankees dugout. Even Ford was on the mound laughing after giving up one of two home runs.
About the only one not enjoying himself as Ford finished off a 19-5 Yankees loss was Aaron Boone. The Yankees manager said Friday he sees some merit to a regular-season “mercy rule,” where games could be called instead of going through the motions to finish a game that’s been over for innings.
“I think there would be a lot of benefits to that,” Boone said before Thursday’s game against Cleveland at the Stadium. “I think you’d probably eliminate a lot of unwritten rules; the people running and swinging at 3-0 pitches in the ‘wrong scores.’ If you get to this point after seven innings or whatever... there might be something to that, some merit to that and worth exploring.
“It’s not fun to have to put in a position player in that kind of situation. Even though for Ford and some of the guys, it’s fun and guys can have some fun with that,” Boone continued. “But sitting in my chair, you worry about hurting someone. Throwing up the flag like that and sitting there and getting kicked in the mouth is no fun."
Game's not over yet but it looks like the Cubbies just needed to do some pre-game sledding in Williamsport....![]()
Technically, a minor league park. (And I wouldn't knock the kids until you've watched them play.)They might just be more comfortable playing in a little league park.
7-1 was nice to see. And the 1 was only Kimbrel working out the kinks. Plus a rare road series win.

And I wasn't joking about the sledding:
I admit I'm proud to say that I was there when Pete Alonso broke the HR rookie record.![]()
