Too bad I missed last night's game, sounded awesome. But no way I'm staying up for an extra innings game that starts at like 830 ET, gotta start these earlier. I know, Prime Time, plus this time West Coast games too (not that the time changes when they are both east coast teams), but just can't commit to it. Tough to start earlier, I guess, but 7pm ET work better, still have Prime Time coverage, and pretty much be over by 11pm no matter what. Since my team isn't in it, good with just the recaps and the first inning or so, I guess.
They definitely screwed up when Scully called for a lefty and it wasn't Koufax, though. I think he was there for game 1? Fun either way.
^Shocking that Girardi was let go. never overly liked him personally, but generally seemed like a good manager and got a lot out of his teams. Optimistic about Alex Cora for the Red Sox, but wonder if they'd have gone in a different direction if Girardi was available at the time. Couple landing spots already gone, will see where he goes or if he takes a year off to wait for something better. I guess the Nationals are still a desirable team, but other than that, do you rebuild the Phillies, or...? And seemed pretty clear that the Yankees said no, not him, so not his decision IMO.
